“Always Ready”: College Tennis Coach Carney is National Champion

After a hiatus and multiple interruptions to her competitive schedule, Principia College head women’s tennis coach and associate professor of physical education Shannon Carney won the 2023 USTA National Senior Women’s 65 Singles and Doubles Championships in October.

Principia Students WOW at MIG

6'3" small forward Jaquan Adams was named the 2023-24 SLIAC Men’s Basketball Player of the Year, national NCAA D-III Player of the Week, and is the first two-time First Team All-SLIAC men’s basketball player in Principia College history.

Principia’s 23rd annual Monitor Night Live took on an unexpected gravity as just a week prior the world watched the fires of conflict ignite between Israel and Palestine. “We all need what The Monitor and this conversation have to offer more than ever,” said College President Dr. Norton in his opening statement, a sentiment underscored by audience engagement.
